Who is Leading this Project?
- FHWA is the lead agency responsible for implementing
NEPA and will make the final decisions for the Draft PEIS and issue
the Record of Decision (ROD).
- CDOT is leading the PEIS effort and will oversee
the day-to-day work activities.
- CDOT has contracted with a Colorado firm, J.F. Sato
and Associates, to prepare the PEIS document and assist with public
involvement.
- Cooperating agencies are:
- Federal Railroad Administration (FRA),
- Bureau of Land Management (BLM),
- US Forest Service - White River National Forest
(NF),
Arapaho/Roosevelt NF
- US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS),
- US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE),
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and
- Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
- In addition, FHWA and CDOT will coordinate closely
with:
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
- other federal, state, and local agencies.
- The remaining key participant in the project is
you, the public. Thank you for taking an interest in improving travel
along the I-70 Mountain corridor. This transportation Corridor affects
